Vancouver Curb Painting
Our shippable QRCurb avoids Vancouver's consent requirements for on-site painting. We've reviewed VMC 20.905 for compliance.
Two Great Options for Your Home
Option 1: QRCurb
Our premium, shippable QRCurb:
- Is guaranteed for 12 months
- Installs in seconds
- Is fully compliant with most local codes
- Can be delivered anywhere in the United States!
Option 2: Classic
This is a service connection only. We are not affiliated with, nor do we guarantee, the work of any painter.
If you would prefer classic on-site curb painting instead of our QRCurb, choose the "Classic" option when signing up and we will connect you with a local painter.

Your Curb Address Options in Vancouver
In Vancouver, from the historic homes near Fort Vancouver to the new developments in East Vancouver, clear address visibility is essential. We offer two distinct options to get your curb numbers professionally painted.
A Note on Vancouver's Consent Ordinance
The City of Vancouver (VMC 20.905) requires residents to get a 'right-of-way use permit' or consent from the city for any on-site curb painting. Our service, Joe, can help you navigate this process for his traditional painting service.
This ordinance does NOT apply to our QRCurb product. Because our QRCurb is painted in our studio and shipped to you as a finished product, you are simply attaching it to your curb with the supplied binder. This avoids the need for on-site painting permits, making it a fast, compliant, and hassle-free option for Vancouver residents.
On-Site Painter (service)
For those who prefer the traditional method, we provide contact information for Joe at StreetMarkNW as a courtesy. He is based in Vancouver and can be contacted directly for a quote. You will need to coordinate with him regarding city consent.

Vancouver Curb Painting: Local FAQs
So I *don't* need a permit for the QRCurb (Option 1)?
Correct. The Vancouver ordinance applies to the act of painting *in the right-of-way* (on the curb itself). Our QRCurb is a finished product, just like a landscape paver. You are simply installing it on your property with adhesive. This does not fall under the same 'on-site painting' restriction. (Disclaimer: We always recommend you double-check local laws yourself, as ordinances can change.)
What if I still want the classic (Option 2) painting?
You can! We provide Joe's info as a courtesy. You would just need to work with him to ensure you have the city's consent before he can perform the on-site painting, as required by VMC 20.905.
